Abdul Macomb Canvass + Canvass Training

Join Abdul Macomb canvass as we knock doors for Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate!
We’ll be talking with voters across Macomb and encouraging them to support Abdul El-Sayed in the upcoming August 4 primary election. This is a great opportunity to have meaningful conversations with your neighbors and help elect leaders who will fight for the working class.
No canvassing experience is necessary, training will be provided before we head out.
It’s time to get the word out – we need to make sure voters have a chance to hear Abdul’s message about getting money out of our political system so we can address the problems of our time in a serious way. Please get involved in canvassing. It is the work of the campaign from now until August 4th. Let’s win this race!
Here’s what to bring:

Thursday Macomb Canvassing Kick-Off: Training + Door-Knocking

We’re launching our field program! Join us for our Macomb County Canvassing Kick-Off this Thursday at The Dovetail in Warren. This event will be the first of many combined training + door-knocking events our chapter will be leading as we head toward the primary on August 4th. If you can’t make it this Saturday we will post more training + door-knocking opportunities soon, but we hope to see you this weekend for the kick-off!
Here’s what to expect on Sunday: Comprehensive training on canvassing fundamentals + using the website that shows us which doors to knock and how to record voter responses, travelling to the nearby “turf” where we’ll be knocking on doors, canvassing in pairs, then travel back to The Dovetail + debrief with the team, share wins, and answer questions.

Northern Macomb Sunday Canvassing Training + Door-Knocking

We will meet at the CMPL Main Branch for a a quick training at 12:00pm. Then we’ll will head out to knock doors at 12:30pm.
Canvassing during the final days before Election Day will target those voters who need to know that their vote matters in this election.
Abdul is running to get money out of politics, put money in your pocket, and pass Medicare for All. We want to build a Michigan that works for everybody, not just the 1%.
Please bring a fully charged phone and comfortable walking shoes.

Come as you are — tired, fired up, uncertain, or all of the above. This is a community space for real talk, reflection, and solidarity in a time of burnout, overwhelm, and frustration.

Our volunteer coordinator will make sure you are fully stocked with literature, a folding chair if you need one, and a Christina for Congress sign. Now is the time to make sure we have a Democratic nominee who can actually flip this seat!

Automated license plate readers (ALPR) have become a staple of policing across the United States. From the smallest town to the largest city, we are all constantly being watched, tracked, and cataloged. ALPRs scan millions of plates daily giving police enormous unchecked power that challenges our constitutional rights.
Over the last year, thousands of people across the country have risen up and said no to these private, profit-driven companies blanketing our cities, towns, and communities in ALPRs.
Contracts are being cancelled and we’re dismantling the surveillance infrastructure. Join us and add your city to the growing list saying no to ALPRs.
