About Us

New name, same mission

Mothers 4 Gaza is changing our name! As of January 25th, 2026, we will be known as the grassroots group, Love and Liberation!

After deciding on our initial name, we discovered there was another group with the same name. As our group dynamics have changed and as we‘ve grown, we decided it was best to change our name to reflect our group and mission of advocating for Palestinian families. We still have the same goals. We still have the same mentality and morals, just a new name.

Thank you for being here on this journey with us and helping us raise awareness for Palestine. We’re excited about what comes next for our group!

"When we saw their children, we saw our own. And that changed everything."

The Story Behind Love and Liberation

Love and Liberation was born from unbearable empathy from two mothers in Macomb County who could no longer turn away from the images of devastation in Gaza.

They saw their own children reflected in those faces: the same small hands, the same bright eyes, the same longing for safety.

What began as a personal act of witnessing and advocacy quickly became a shared calling. With every headline, every photo, and every plea from families trapped under siege, the need became too great to ignore.

Love and Liberation emerged from that moment, a movement grounded in maternal love, moral courage, and the conviction that compassion must be actionable.

Today, we are a grassroots fundraising and advocacy group, as well as a subcommittee of Macomb Defenders Rising (MDR). Our work is rooted in a single, unwavering principle: when systems fail, humanity must not.

Our Mission

Direct Aid. Immediate Impact. Real Lives.

Our mission is to raise urgent, life-saving funds for families in Gaza, providing resources for survival, medical care, and safe evacuation when possible.

We work with trusted humanitarian partners to ensure aid reaches those in need quickly and responsibly. Every donation, every share, every conversation helps protect lives caught in the crossfire of injustice.

We act because no one should have to face starvation, displacement, or death simply for existing.

Our Beliefs

Compassion Is Our Resistance

We believe:

  • Every child deserves safety, dignity, and a future
  • No mother should have to choose between starvation and being shot at
  • Aid must be direct, verifiable, and rooted in trust
  • Silence in the face of atrocity is complicity

This is not about politics. It’s about humanity. When governments enable cruelty, people of conscience must deliver compassion.

Closing Reflections

Love Is Not Passive. It’s a Call to Action.

Love and Liberation began with two hearts breaking open and has grown into a movement rooted in courage, compassion, and moral clarity. We are ordinary people doing the extraordinary work of protecting life and defending humanity. Each life saved is an act of resistance. Each act of giving is proof that love endures, even in the darkest hours.
