What’s the Plan with Leah and Ezra
- March 5, 2026
- 3:00 pm
- 4:00 pm
The chaos out of the White House is meant to overwhelm us. Our antidote is community. Join Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin every Thursday to break down the week’s biggest political stories, answer your questions, and map out strategies for taking action.
This is people-powered politics in real time. Questions can be submitted via the Q&A function during the live event.
Real talk. Real people. Real action. That’s the plan.

Impromptu Bridge Protest
- March 6, 2026
- 3:30 pm
- 5:00 pm
📍Browning Street Bridge, Hazel Park
We feel we have to do something to bring attention to the horrific strikes in Iran, possibly prompting a war!
Also to remind people of the next NO KINGS event.
The high will be around 50-54 degrees, cloudy, between 3-5 pm and will feel like 38-48. Wind will make it feel colder than the actual temperature and it is always windier on the bridge so plan accordingly. We will put the message up and take it from there. There is a chance of rain and we are watching it closely. If it rains, more than likely we will cancel.

The Youth Agenda will serve as a framework for us to take action, move in coalition, and demand from our legislators the policy changes that youth need locally and statewide. A welcome reception will be held the evening before on Friday March 6th. We will end our day Saturday with an opportunity for more bonding at a post-convention community event. MDR March Members Meeting
- March 9, 2026
- 6:00 pm
- 8:30 pm
- UAW Local 228, 39209 Mound Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310, USA
Join us for a meet-the-candidate night. With the upcoming April 19 MDP Convention, we want to make sure candidates have an opportunity to connect with members before the convention.
NOTE: Beginning in April, our meetings will shift back toward the activism, organizing, and issue-focused programming we centered last year. We will continue to welcome candidates, but they will not be the primary focus again until we move further into election season. We’re excited to balance electoral engagement with the grassroots work that powers it.
We are now featuring a “Little Activist Corner” – bring your little ones with you to the meeting.
Monthly Donation:
If you’re able, please bring new, unused donations for Turning Point, Inc. Macomb, which supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
Needed items include paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, paper plates), full-sized personal care items (body wash, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, feminine hygiene products), baby items (diapers sizes 4–6, pull-ups, wipes), and basic household essentials (cleaning wipes, plastic silverware, napkins). Thank you for supporting this important work in our community.
Doors open at 6:00 PM for socializing and set up. See you there!

MDR Campus Outreach Meeting
- March 12, 2026
- 7:00 pm
- 8:00 pm
From Brandon & the election team:
The purpose of the meeting is to explore – and hopefully get the ball rolling on – how Macomb Defenders Rising can connect with existing student groups on college campuses throughout Metro-Detroit.
As MDR starts to become a political power bloc in its own right, we should be looking for ways to support other types organizations that share our values – especially if they’re operating within spaces that we don’t travel in our day to day lives.
The far-right has made pro-active efforts to reach out to Gen-Z voters – a strategy which, unfortunately, paid off in 2024. Just over one year later this same support is collapsing – a recent YouGov poll showed a 67% disapproval of Trump among these same voters – a tidal wave 20 point shift. (https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/donald-trump-approval-rating-gen-161415601.html)
MDR should be making pro-active efforts to reach out to young people, and get them involved in the pro-democracy movement. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we should aim to connect with existing student-led movement, and find ways to lend them the considerable support that MDR has to offer.
